As expected there are plenty of Scots in this week’s selection, which ended up being more of a case of who played fairly well as opposed to who played exceptionally.
Well what a difference a week makes! Dull weather and even duller tactics meant that for the first time in an age it was Scotland who played the best rugby.
On to week two in the Six Nations, with a fun weekend culminating into the big match in Dublin on Sunday. It’s time to separate the contenders from the pretenders.

By far the easiest position to pick for the squad is the centres. Four will travel, and the top four contenders are head and shoulder-pads above the rest of the competition.
