Thankfully the predicted wet weather didn’t affect the play too much and we got some decent rugby, and with it some decent performances to choose from.
The scoreline turned out as predicted but the numbers flattered New Zealand somewhat. Argentina played well and got the best of the scrums.
The Rugby Championship resumes at McLean Park on Saturday, as the All Blacks host the Pumas with rain set to dampen the contest.
We could make this easy and just pick the entire All Black XV, but that wouldn’t be much fun, or very fair to some other standouts.
Some nice weather and a week to work out the kinks evidently works wonders. The All Blacks left no debate as to who would be taking home the Bledisloe Cup.
It was a dreadful week of weather, and consequently the rugby was nearly as awful. Nevertheless a team must be pulled from the wreckage.
Leave it to the weather to get in the way of a good match. Neither side was able to get much purchase with ball in hand, and tries were nowhere to be seen.
The Waratahs might have emerged victorious in Super Rugby, but that doesn’t necessarily translate into success for Australia when the All Blacks come to town.
The All Blacks look to make it a clean sweep against a resilient England side, who will in turn be dead set on salvaging something from their tour.
