It’s that time of year again. Le Crunch comes at the most crucial time, with England in chase of the championship and France in search of respect.
What a difference a week makes. Seven days ago Ireland had the Grand Slam in the back of their minds, and now their title chances are hanging by a thread.
It’s pretty unusual to arrive at the last weekend of the tournament with all three matches still relevant to the title, though Wales have a tough job ahead.
There were plenty of players putting up their hand this week which made a few selections difficult, but here’s the best of Pacific Challenge Round 3.
Round 3 of the Pacific Challenge is in the books, with some of the tournament’s most exciting action taking place as the teams wrapped up pool play.
It keeps getting tougher for Canada. After the narrow defeat to Samoa they now face defending champions Argentina in round 3 of the Pacific Challenge.
With only two matches worth mentioning this week, it made the job a little easier but only just. The competition at lock, in particular, was fierce.
A dramatic weekend of Six Nations rugby faded rapidly in quality. From start to finish the action ranged from brilliant, to clumsy, to utterly hideous.
Not too much to think about this week, with Fiji and Argentina the clear standouts and contributing the bulk of selections. Japan are again out of the fold.
